Linux OS
It is my favourite operating system, is the one i use at home, and to be honest, i love linux.
why linux?
The only reason because linux is not used for the most of the people, is because is not a business. Android is a linux special distribution, and now Google made it the first one in the mobile's world. One of the best points in the opensource wolrd, is that everyone can modify everything, and developing a new version, so we can find any single software for linux. But in the same time, this is a problem, because any software is not really made to be the best, just to do the basic things, and even in the first versions , are left for the developers. Any company can used.
This is one of the most import things Canonical did with Ubuntu. The got the best distribution, wich is Debian, and made it easier for the user. That's all the people need to easy. I installed linux to a few computers, and now they used normally, no problems, no virus, and maybe to play games they can use Windows
what can i do?
Well, i worked on linux developing, and is really easy, simply fast. We can load a virtual machine, a tomcat server, our IDE, a few browsers, and is still running a quiet good.
About my skills, i am not a real administrator, but i used it for long time. I can use the terminal, processes, few differents distributions like Red-Hat, Mandriva (mandrake), Debian, Linex, Suse and of course, Ubuntu. Kde is billiant, but for graphical desktop environment, i prefer Gnome.
